The Tools of Healing

To experience a session in Healing Pathways – whether it is facilitated by a practitioner or whether an individual works with it himself – is to journey into one’s own inner world. It is a voyage to understand what we truly want and what goals will lead us toward fulfillment and personal satisfaction; it is a excursion from a land of blockages, in which we feel hampered and closed in, unable to actualize ourselves, to a land of freedom, in which we experiences positive self-direction and self-assurance. These positive traits allow us to move into a new reality, one that enables us to take full advantage of all our innate talents and abilities, while still maintaining an intimate awareness of our intrinsic essential self.

If we were looking forward to a vacation on a luxury sea liner, it is only logical that we would spend a fair amount of time determining what factors we should take into consideration to make our trip safe and enjoyable and to allow us to accomplish those goals that spurred us to make the trip. We would check out the weather and make sure that the forecast includes warm and sunny days, with cool refreshing breezes and with reasonable waves. We would book a room that is spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed where we could relax at night or when we felt the need for some private moments. We would do our very best to ensure that we were traveling with a reliable company and with a captain who has years of experience in helping vacationers achieve their individual goals.

If this is what we would do to prepare for a vacation cruise, we would certainly do as much or more for a journey of inner exploration: Who am I? What are my goals? Where am I in the world? What are my personal expectations for myself? What is my life mission? When someone addresses questions such as these, he wants to be assured that the pathway along which he chooses to travel to seek the answers is one that is cleared of dangerous obstacles and stumbling blocks, with gentle slopes and descents, with well-paved roads that can be traveled without trauma, without undue pain and without stress. Yet the journey should be interesting and stimulating, leading to clear exploration and understanding of his intrinsic essence, a pathway that will bring him to true freedom from all blockages and inner barriers, in all areas of life, relationships and endeavor.

The Tools of the Trade

Every captain has his private office, from where he directs the progress of the journey. He has a crew of faithful, knowledgeable sailors, a library of clearly drawn maps, and a set of tools that he uses to navigate the seas. In the same way, as we prepare to navigate our journey to our inner selves, we need to acquire a set of tools, instructions and directions that will get us where we need to go – quickly, effectively and gently.

Healing Pathways has five distinct categories of tools that are designed to help make your journey smooth and enjoyable. They are:

  1. Evaluative Tools
  2. Tools to elicit a close personal connection with the person receiving the session.
  3. Tools to unblock inner barriers.
  4. Tools to help conclude a session thoroughly and completely.
  5. Tools that guide the traveler step-by-step through the healing process.

The first tool we will discuss is one of the evaluative tools. It is known as the Healing Pathways Emotional Spectrum Matrix, and it serves the essential function of helping us identify the specific emotions that form the bases of specific blockages. It also provides the parallel emotion that can bridge the gap to positive self-fulfillment and healing.
