About Healing Pathways
Healing Pathways is about you!
Each of us comes into this world to heal himself, to achieve wholeness, to uplift others and to perfect the world. You, as the unique individual you are, have your own very individual path by which to achieve true healing. That path is built from the particular environment in which you were born and grew up, your manifold talents and capabilities, and your unique perception of yourself and others.
Reaching Our Potential
Every situation, every relationship, every learning experience and life-challenge that you encounter has been sent to you specifically to give you inner clarity and direction, to provide motivation and to help you aspire to be all that you can be.
At times we all encounter situations that seem to block us, to prevent us from moving forward and from achieving our positive goals. There seems to be some kind of invisible wall that keeps us from achieving the success we crave in all or at least some areas of life, relationships and endeavor.
The truth is that these blockages are our friends! They have been sent to us as signposts along our path of personal growth. All we really need is to learn how to communicate with these “friends” and to understand their secret code, so that we can use the energy hidden in these blockages as fuel to fire our creative engine.
Blockages of the Highest Order
Our Sages taught [Shabbat 88b] that when Moses went up to Heaven to receive the Torah, all the angels began complaining to God: “Why do You want to give the holy Torah to [these beings of] flesh and blood? Leave it here in the Heavens, with us – the angels – who are holy and are totally dedicated to serving You, with no confusion or misconceptions hampering us.”
God turned to Moses and commanded him, “Answer them!”
Turning to God, Moses said, “But what if they consume me with their fiery breath?”
God responded, “Hold on to My Throne of Glory and answer them.”
Moses held on to the Throne and turned to God. “What is written in the Torah?” he asked.
God replied, “It says: I am the Lord your God Who brought you out of the land of Egypt.”
Moses faced the angels and challenged them: “Did you go down to Egypt? Were you subjugated to Pharoah? Why do you need the Torah?”
Again Moses asked God, “What is written in the Torah?”
“You shall have no other gods before Me!”
Turning to the angels, Moses asked, “Do you live among idol worshippers?”
Eventually, the angels acceded to Moses’ arguments and, acknowledging his victory, each of them gave him [spiritual] gifts.

Even though Moses faced fiery blockages, coming from holy beings who stood up against him, with Divine assistance he was able to hold his own and turn the situation around to his benefit, to the point that all his adversaries rewarded him with spiritual gifts.
In the same way, each individual, by facing his own challenges and difficult moments, and by strengthening his faith and connecting to the inner talents with which God has blessed him, can succeed in overcoming his challenges and turn what may have seemed to be totally negative circumstances into the most positive strengths imaginable.
What Can Healing Pathways Do for You?
Healing Pathways was created to provide you with the tools you need to answer the six major questions, in order to help you help yourself:
- What is blocking you? [Is it anger, depression, lack of focus, codependency…?]
- When did it start to block you? [During pregnancy, as an infant, as a teenager, recently…?]
- Where are you holding the blockage in your body? [In your mind, in your liver-energy, in your heart-energy, in your stomach-energy…?]
- Who is involved in the blockage? [Is it based in a self-to-self relationship, or in a self-to-others relationship, and if so, who are those others?]
- Why have you chosen to remain immersed in the blockage until now? [Is the reason physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, or lack of connection to your potential?]
How do I release the blockage?
Using bioenergetic muscle testing, the Healing Pathways system enables us to pick up feedback from the subconscious mind to find the answers to these questions. Once we have the answers, we can create an energetic vibration to release the blockage – quickly, painlessly and effectively.
Meet David Seltzer
With step-by-step guidance from the Almighty, David Seltzer developed the Healing Pathways system.
David Talks About Himself
I started my pathway to healing when I took off from Heaven in 1953 and came in for a landing at Lebanon Hospital in the Bronx, where two marvelous parents awaited my arrival eagerly.
At the age of seven, I received my first message that not everything is as it appears to be. While playing at home I discovered a pamphlet on child development. Curious, I riffled through some pages and saw that it explained what type of development to expect from a child at any given age. As I was seven, I turned to the section describing seven-year-olds.
To my surprise and dismay, I realized that I was a complete failure. Was this pamphlet talking about Superboy? It certainly wasn’t describing me! Realizing that I would be in deep trouble if my parents happened to peruse the pamphlet and read what the section on seven-year-olds had to say, I took immediate action, in accordance with the Talmudic dictum, “When someone comes to kill you, rise up and kill him first.” Somehow, that pamphlet disappeared mysteriously from my home and was never seen again.
Healing lesson number one: No matter how bad or desperate a situation may seem, you can usually find a solution.
Shortly after this devastating experience, my family moved out to Connecticut. My grandmother had just passed away, and my parents wanted to stay with my grandfather. I loved to read, and every week I would visit the local library, where I enjoyed a friendly relationship with the staff. In the library I found a series of booklets on scouting, which explained how one could earn project badges toward becoming an eagle scout. I was in awe. “How in the world can a kid my age do this on his own?” I wondered. Most of the projects were complicated and demanded a great deal of knowledge. Then, all at once it hit me: they’re not doing this on their own – they get help and guidance from their scout leaders, parents and mentors! At this point I became aware of his second major healing lesson in life.
Healing lesson number two: You can be a tremendous success when you accept a little help and guidance from someone who knows.
My brother Jerry and I started to attend a yeshivah day school in Stamford, where my favorite class was arts and crafts. I would spend my time there creating turtles out of clay. Since arts and crafts was on the schedule only once a week, I had to wait a whole week for my turtle to dry. Then I would glaze the turtle and wait another whole week (unless the kiln broke down – a not-uncommon occurrence – in which case I had to wait even longer) before receiving my beautiful, shiny turtle. There I learned another major healing lesson in life.
Healing lesson number three: Patience is very valuable! You can’t always get what you want when you want it, but if you hang in there, it usually comes eventually.
For sixth grade, Jerry and I transferred to a yeshivah day school in New Haven. As there was no carpool, we commuted to New Haven by train. This daily experience taught me several important lessons in life: 1) If you place a penny on the track right at the spot where the train enters the station, that penny will gain a new mission in life as copper foil. 2) If you are diligent and check the return-change slot in the train station pay phones daily, you can make a lot of money (or at least what an eleven-year-old would consider to be a lot of money).
The New Haven Hebrew Day School encouraged its students to help support the school by selling World Famous Milk Chocolate bars. Each bar sold for 50 cents, and every student was given a box of twelve bars. The student who sold the most chocolate bars in his class would win a camera. The one who sold the most in the school would win a tape recorder. And any student who sold even half a box (six bars) was entered in the grand lottery for “Freddy,” a giant teddy bear that was auctioned off every year.
Being by nature a bit entrepreneurial, a bit cute and a bit chutzpahdik, and with an incentive that couldn’t be beat, I began selling chocolate on the train. My rationale was: 1) I liked chocolate, so it was likely that everybody else did too; and 2) if the commuters could afford the ticket, they could probably afford a chocolate bar.
As the chocolate-selling contest neared the finish line, I was happy to see that my assumptions were valid and I had sold a great deal of chocolate. Since my brother Jerry didn’t like selling chocolate, I donated half a box to him so that he would be able to enter the grand Freddy auction.
I was happy when the principal announced that I was the sixth-grade winner of the camera, but I was somewhat disappointed to learn that I hadn’t won the grand prize. A kid whose father had brought the chocolate in to work and sold it to his colleagues won the tape recorder. (Maybe that father was the boss?)
When it was time for the grand drawing, the principal reached into the barrel of tickets, pulled one out, glanced at it and said, “This wasn’t supposed to happen! Jerry Seltzer is the winner of Freddy!”
I didn’t understand why that wasn’t supposed to happen. After all, it did happen, so obviously it was supposed to happen!
From this experience I learned several essential healing lessons:
Healing lesson number four: Always expect the unexpected.
Healing lesson number five: It’s easy to sell people something sweet.
Healing lesson number six: It’s good to have an influential father.
Healing lesson number seven: Teddy bears ride on Grand Central for free.
I graduated eighth grade and moved on to the Manhattan Talmudical Academy, where I boarded in the dorm. One day after class I returned to my room and found that, in addition to my roommates and a few friends from the floor, there was another boy in the room. He happened to have been sitting on my bed, and I sat down next to him. We began to talk…and talk…and talk.… I had just met Mordechai, the boy who changed my life.
I was a freshman in high school; Mordechai was a freshman in college (on the same campus). I had never met anyone like Mordechai before (or since). Mordechai was a people-builder. He was walking love for every person. Everything about his life revolved around helping others. He never became angry or upset; he just flowed from helping one person to helping the next. He was always there to counsel boys who were having a hard time being away from home. Mordechai was also a genius, but with no inflated ego whatsoever.
I loved to watch Mordechai pray; he prayed like a small child talking to his father. For four full years, perhaps the best years of my life, I had a mentor who taught me the beauty of Judiasm, the uniqueness of every individual, and to always see the positive. Most of all, this mentor taught me about my own self-worth. Whenever I was around Mordechai I felt elevated – I was inspired to reach for higher inner goals. And I learned another lesson in healing.
Healing lesson number eight: What you see is what you get: if you can see the inner radiance in someone, you will draw out that radiance and reveal it!
Mordechai graduated, and I went looking for a replacement-mentor. I became involved in Breslov Chassidus, which is based on the teachings of Rabbi Nachman. I learned all about accepting a Rebbe, about talking to G-d as you would talk to your best friend, about the need to strive to be a holy person without fooling yourself. And I learned a dictum that became my ninth healing lesson.
Healing lesson number nine: Never give up hope – if you can’t fix the problem today, you’ll fix it tomorrow!
I married a great girl and went on to dabble in various careers, producing sour pickles, working in dental technology, catering and computer programming. I enjoyed them all, but I was looking for something more.
Eventually, I was invited to a class in three-in-one concepts (known as one-brain), and I fell in love with the concept of helping others help themselves. My wife and I became one-brain facilitators, and other the years, in the U.S. and Israel, we participated in other courses in alternative health techniques. Having been involved in the field for over seventeen years, I’ve been privileged to be the messenger to help many people release their inner blockages. In recent years I developed a healing system, based on a Torah-true model, which can help people – quickly, gently and effectively – to become the best they can be and to achieve their goals.
* * *
I have found the nine healing lessons I learned early in life to be very effective. Generally speaking, even in difficult scenarios it is possible to find a solution. With a little help and good guidance, the majority of people can achieve success! All you need is the right place, time and attitude, and a heaping dose of patience, to come out a winner.
God sends everyone surprises in life. If we use these surprises properly, they are our guideposts to reaching the next step toward ultimate fulfillment. Everyone is full of inner sweetness; he or she just needs to be made aware of it.
We all have an influential Father Above watching out for us. All we need is to talk to Him. And never forget that even when we don’t deserve them, our Father gives us lots of freebies (remember – teddy bears ride for free!). If you can see the good in someone, that someone will see it too. And even if you don’t solve your issue today, if you don’t give up, you’ll solve it tomorrow (or the next day)!
